Hello All! (And a question on your limitations)

by Laurel Plum

Is anyone still there?  I am still healing and rehabbing the ole back, but I am going to try to start writing here again. I have really appreciated the couple of comments and all of the email sending me love.  They meant more to me than you could know. Thank you all so much.

While I have been away, I have let a lot of back end site upgrades accumulate.  The site may be a little wonky this week as I work my way through a few of them. Then we will get back to Getting Organized around the house!

My goal is to do at least a weekly article, but I hope you will all continue to have patience with me if more or less come through.

I have a question for YOU!

Do  you or anyone you know have physical limitations that cause you problems when trying to turn your house into Your Home? Many of you know that I have been working with a disabled parent for years. During the past several months I have had to make adjustments to many of my own routines and methodologies to overcome limitations my back has placed in my movement.

There is never a one size fits all solution for cleaning or organizing. That is even more true when your body does not want to keep up with your motivation.

Please do not throw in the towel. I would love to try to work with you to come up with some alternatives that might help you find a fit for your unique situations.  Use the contact form to send me an e-mail.  Anytime. Really.

Laurel, I have dealt with back issues for years, and find it difficult to manage any housework that requires me to bend over for more than a few seconds at a time. Which means: baseboards never get cleaned, “bun” feet on furniture don’t get dusted, and stairs don’t get much love, either. Furthermore, low dresser drawers pretty much don’t get used.

Hope your back gets to feeling better soon.
