Sites to See for December 7

by Laurel Plum

Christmas countdown banner

We have all been having so much fun this week!  I love this time of year! Twinkling lights everywhere! The smell of evergreen and cinnamon.  Baking and hot chocolate everyday.  I still have some crafts and some things to pull together in the kitchen for gifts before I will get all of the labors of Christmas behind me.  But for the most part we are making a point to build Christmas memories and traditions – even with most of the gifts, so I am very happy with the way December is looking this year.  Even the chocolate incident will give us something to laugh about – later.

How are you doing? Are you looking forward to your holiday celebrations? In the past one of my favorite things to do is drive or walk around seeing how everyone was decorating.  Did I mention I love the lights? This year I have been able to stroll the internet and see some amazing things people are doing indoors, too. I love all of the stories others share of their decor, their traditions, and their memories of holidays past.  I would love to hear your stories, too.  Leave a note or a link in the comments.  If you are to shy to leave a comment feel free to contact me using the address or one of my links at the bottom of the page.

And speaking of links… Look and enjoy!

New (to me) Sites

The Mother Letter Project.  Go on over, find out what it is and add your letter to another Mother.  To me this is an amazing example of a really good Christmas present. If you participate, he will try to get a copy sent to you when it is all complete.

One Thing You Can Do.  Each article is focuses on one thing that each of us can do that could improve our lives. One thing for your mind, your health, your day, your business. But it is not just about you, just as often the one thing is something that is for someone else, the environment, the world at large.

Momversation.  Several (of the coolest) Moms getting together via video to discuss topics.

Tip Nut Christmas Keepers.  If you like the weekly Sites to See, it is nothing compared to Tip Nut.  And this extension site is full of Christmas crafts, recipes, homemade gifts and more!

To Make:

Digitize Your Bedtime Stories from Craftzine. Another great Christmas present idea.

DIYP {Christmas Decor & Ideas Part I} from We are THAT Family.  After I read this I got out my red craft paint and added a tad of glitter then painted up a couple of mirrors in the house.  (Scroll down to Joy in the middle of the page.) I love those ideas that take seconds but add a big impact. There are several clever ideas.

Fur Wreath Tutorial from The Nesting Place.

Origami wreath tutorial from Domesticali. I thought these could be fun ornament additions for the tree.

All That Glitters… from Bienvenue.  Make those glittery words we are all seeing everywhere.

Keep in Mind:

I came across each of these websites and stories either from Stumble Upon, RSS subscriptions, SITS, search engine pathways or from others on Plurk or Twitter. I am passing them on to you as I found them – in good faith. I can not guarantee the validity or accuracy in any manner. I enjoyed reading them and I hope you will, too.
