We are still knee deep in Thanksgiving festivities and the beginning of Christmas decorating. I hope that you are enjoying your weekend!
New (to me) Sites:
This week I got a 3 for 1. I was pointed in the direction of The Simple Marriage Project. While I was there found links to 2 new sites – Parent to Launch authored by Corey at The Simple Marriage and to Gratitude Project written by Dina Eisenberg. The titles should be plenty to pique your interest. Check them out!
A Year of Crock Potting. I am a little obsessed with cooking with crock pots. If you do not use one now, give it an honest try.
P.S. My First Kitchen shared a great Slow-Cooker Barbecue technique recently that you should check out too.
Advent Conspiracy Promo Video – Makes you think.
Thank you to Mt Hope Chronicles for sharing this with your readers so I could find it and pass it along again.
Random Articles:
Finding Contentment Where You Are Right Now from Small Notebook. Something we should all keep in mind and strive for.
Unexpected from Remodeling This Life. I guess I am on a contentment theme.
Holiday Decorating for Every Room from The Inspired Room. If there were nothing else but that first picture I would probably point you over there, but I truly believe less can be so much more. Maybe this will convince you, too.
Mistletoe Already from Queen of the Click. How clever to have a year round reminder for greeting kisses!
Living By A Family Maxim from Parent to Launch
To Make:
Whip Up has a HUGE list of links for all kinds of projects and tutorials. There are enough things here to keep me busy for years!
Coziness from Patchwork Pottery. These book pillows are absolutely amazing. I have no delusions of having the ability to make them myself, but OH if I could!
Rolling Pin Prints from Craft Chi. I actual think I am going to try this method to print a tone on tone pattern on a wall.
For Kids and Educational Resources:
LIFE Magazine photo archive hosted by Google starting in the 1860s!
Soshiku. Directly from the page: “What is Soshiku? Soshiku is a simple but powerful tool that manages your …school… assignments. Soshiku keeps track of when your assignments are due and can even notify you via email or SMS. And it’s totally free.”
Gadgets that Aid the Studying Process from Gearfire

Hey Laurel, I really appreciate your shout-out for the Gratitude Project. The Project ended but that doesn’t mean readers can’t take up their own challenge to thank and appreciate their loved ones regularly. After all, it’s almost Christmas!
With the holidays here, we’ll be talking more about family at This Marriage Thing, especially what happens when the kids come home from college the first time!
We share our point of view (you say- start living fully and I say design your own best life now) so I’ll be back to read more. Thanks.
best, Dina
