@Dana Wamble: It's not at ALL crazy. I use unusual containers all the time in unusual rooms. Use what works. Especially if you love them! Who knows, you may get lucky. Instead of visitors thinking, ”Why does this crazy woman have her kitchen canisters in the living room?”, a few may decide you collect canisters and start surprising you with them as gifts!

Hi! I just read your article about other uses for kitchen canisters. I am completely crazy about canister sets! I have been known to have three sets at a time in my kitchen. I was considering using a set on my daughters bookcases in our living room to hold her crayons, pencils, etc. Of course, I would choose a set that went along with the colors in the room. Is this completely crazy? I just don't want visitors to come in and think, " Why does this crazy woman have her kitchen canisters in the living room?"
